***EDIT*** Um, in my haste to finish up, I left out something important (the tails to the word balloons). Glad that’s fixed! Let’s never speak of this again, ok? ***EDIT***

Hey look, I’m back! So yeah, it’s a busy time of year for me, so I’m going to temporarily transition to posting pages as I finish them (which should be roughly once a week). I will admit, keeping the every Monday schedule, as infrequent as it is, can occasionally get tricky for me with the ebb and flow of work and life stuff. I’ve been thinking about it a lot and I’ve talked to a couple of people (the ones that mention how often I apologize for being late) and have decided to stress a little less about making my own personally enforced deadline. That is to say, I’m still holding myself to the Monday thing, but I won’t beat myself up about being a little late (I’m pretty sure that’s the job of the internet community anyway).

I guess my reasoning is that this comic is still sort of a personal project for my own development so I can learn how to draw better, tell better stories, and simply make better comics. I don’t charge for this stuff, in fact, I don’t even have ads up. BUT! I really want to share it with people so I can get feedback, and maybe you guy can actually enjoy reading it (and seeing me develop as an artist. I always like seeing that happen).

SO! I’m still going to keep the Monday schedule (just allow for a little delay every now and then). Sometimes i just need the extra time to get things right or to try something new. I think taking the time to learn as much as I can now will pay off later when I finally feel ready to go after my own personal (currently secret) artistic goals.

ANYWAY! Back to the fun stuff I guess:

So! You’ll notice a couple of things on this page. First and foremost: I did a lot of cutting and pasting between panels and I’m a little ashamed of it. While really useful to show things that didn’t change between panels, it still sort of feels like I’m cheating myself. Since this was mostly just a conversation page anyway, I figured I could get away with it in order to try the second thing you may have noticed….

Thing #2: More Off-Panel Dialogue Than Usual. I hope this wasn’t too confusing to follow. I figure it’s probably easier in a video format where you can actually hear who’s speaking, but I thought I would use this page to experiment with it to see if I could accomplish what I wanted to without sacrificing clarity.

Finally, I left out the textures again. Since my texture library is still pretty limited, I’m sort of afraid that the one I have would make things look kind of yucky (for lack of a better word).

Anyway, next page by Monday. Enjoy!
