[NOTE: FORGET WHAT I WROTE IN THE POST ABOUT ANIMATION, MY SITE WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH IT. TO SEE WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT, PLEASE GO HERE]

Here’s another page! I wanted this one to be a silly/fun way to segue into the next part of the chapter, so I needed to be sure to add ridiculous leaping and even a tiny amount of animation. It was a fun page to draw, but it took me FOREVER to make. Because of things like having to correct a handful of errors and then having an overambitious animation planned for this page, I almost didn’t finish this one in time.

About the animation: I only kept it to the flicker of Rob’s holophone’s hologram because it was easy to do and helped illustrate the fact that Kevin was, in fact, just a holographic projection. (NOTE: Rob’s not surprised at the hologram, he knows what his holophone can do. He’s surprised by the the sudden shouting). Expect more animations in the future, either in or out of the comic, because it’s something that I’ve always wanted to learn how to do. Unfortunately, it’s proving to be a time-consuming process that not helping my already slow process. And about that…

The most time consuming part of my process is probably the part where I print out my digital pencils and ink the comic on paper so I can scan it back in again. I really love having a physical page come out of the process, but I think I’ll need to revert to doing things all digitally for at least the next page or two because of time constraints. We’ll see what happens!
